“Education is the magical key that opens the door to a world of possibilities.”
Mrs. Kimberley Milks
Dear Westwood Staff and Families,
We are thrilled to begin another exciting year of learning, growth, and community with all of you. Whether you're returning or joining us for the first time, we are so happy to have you as part of our school family.
Our staff has been hard at work preparing for a fantastic year ahead, and we can't wait to welcome our students back to the classroom. The first days of school are always full of excitement and opportunity, and we are here to support your child every step of the way.
I have been an Educator for a decade, with my most recent role as a classroom teacher in the Lorain City Schools District. I received my Bachelor of Education degree from the University of Toledo and a Masters Degree in Educational Leadership from Ashland University. While teaching was my initial role, I had taken on various responsibilities, including leading committees for PBIS, Family Engagement, and serving on both building and district leadership teams for more than half of my teaching career.
My husband and I recently renewed our vows for our 16th wedding anniversary. We have four children, two girls and two boys. Kiara is 23 and living her best life out on her own. Chaise is 15 and excited to be a sophomore in high school. Koltin is 12 and entering middle school and wants to play basketball. Hailey is 8 and still holding onto the moments of summer fun! Our children are involved in travel sports and our youngest is in competitive dance, so during the weekends we are always on an adventure somewhere.
Although I have not raised a cow of any sorts, due to my last name, the cow theme has kind of followed me throughout education. My hope is that I will now have more opportunities to interact with real cows, especially with the fairgrounds being so close. Up until now, it has only been in cow patterns and prints.
Please feel free to email me at kmilks@wellingtonvillageschools.org. You may also leave a message with the office secretary Mrs. McCloskey at 440-647-3636.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Kimberley Milks, Westwood Elementary Principal
